ELNET’S WORK

Fostering robust Europe-Israel relationships is a monumental task, and ELNET has risen to the challenge. ELNET currently operates offices in Brussels (EU-NATO), CEE (Central & Eastern Europe), France, Germany, Italy, UK, and Israel, working in nearly 40 countries.

By leading delegations to and from Israel, facilitating Strategic Dialogues, and hosting political, policy, and industry conferences, ELNET has become the most influential organization strengthening Europe-Israel relations.

HIGH-LEVEL PARLIAMeNTARY DELEGATIONS

ELNET leads approximately 30 delegations to and from Israel each year, totaling over 4,000 European leaders since ELNET’s inception and 500 since October 7. These delegations introduce European lawmakers and political leaders to the on-the-ground realities that Israel faces.

Participants meet with Israel’s political, military, and economic leadership and with families of Israeli hostages and victims of terrorism.

These visits enable stakeholders to build lasting relationships with their Israeli counterparts. ELNET alumni positively influence policy decisions in their governments and actively advocate for Israel.

MILITARY AND INTELLIGENCE DELEGATIONS

Israel’s defense, intelligence, and military capabilities are world-renowned and highly sought after. But deal-making is not as easy as picking up the phone and placing an order. Acquiring sophisticated and proprietary Israeli technologies is a complex process.

ELNET delegations introduce European policymakers and high-ranking military and defense officials to their Israeli counterparts, including Israel’s leading aerospace and defense companies.

Europe and Israel share strategic opportunities and threats. ELNET works to expand Europe-Israel defense, intelligence, and military cooperation on that basis, helping to keep Israel, Europe, and the entire Western alliance safer.

POLICY INFLUENCERS & JOURNALISTS DELEGATIONS

Anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments are rising across Europe, often fomented by biased media. Extreme rhetoric has resulted in violence against Israelis and Jews in European cities.

ELNET cooperates with European authorities, policy influencers, journalists, and think tanks to counter false narratives that undermine Israel’s standing and place Jewish communities at risk.

ELNET delegations expose these influencers to facts on the ground and firsthand experiences. This empowers them to return home with perspective, moral clarity, and conviction to combat the ignorant and pernicious narratives sweeping their countries.

FORUM OF Strategic dialogue (FSD)

ELNET’s Forum of Strategic Dialogue (FSD) organizes and facilitates high-level strategic dialogues between Europe and Israel, focusing on the major geopolitical challenges facing the parties.

The FSD provides a unique platform for “Track 1.5” dialogues that allow participants to brainstorm ideas in closed sessions that go beyond the constraints of formal inter-governmental discussions.

ELNET has created a total of 12 strategic forums involving bilateral and multilateral tracks and launched its first Strategic Dialogue between France and Israel in 2010.

ELNET regularly conducts annual dialogues with key countries, including France, Germany, Italy, and UK, regional dialogues with the E3, the EU, NATO, Central and Eastern Europe, the Abraham Accords Europe Forum, and the U.S.-Europe-Israel Trilateral Strategic Dialogue.

On Mondays at noon Eastern, ELNET-US hosts online policy briefings for ELNET supporters and leaders from Europe, Israel, and the U.S.

ELNET briefings empower supporters with information, perspective, and agency. Attendees glean insights from European, U.S., and Israeli political and thought leaders who provide perspective on ELNET’s work and current events.
